Beth and Bert celebrate 19 years!

Happy Anniversary to Beth and Bert who celebrated 19 years of marriage on September 23. They celebrated with a glass of wine on the screened in porch, listening to the sounds of the country, and reminiscing about each year and our milestones. Unbelievably, no photos of the two of them together could be found - just pictures of all the kids!

They will enjoy a night away in a few weeks when Mimi & Pop come to visit. Maybe we'll have a picture of the two of them together! Congratulations!

AT Quest

Bert completed the latest leg of his Appalacchian Trail hike from 9/11/08 - 9/14/08. The gang hiked approximately 50 miles in three days including back to back 20 milers. We left out of Uncle Johnny's in Erwin Tn and hiked north. We are now approximately 70 miles from Va. and expect to be in Damascus next spring!

New puppy - take two!!

The Hardys welcome "Samson" to the family! We got him from a local breeder who has a beautiful line of bull terriers. We named him after the biblical Samson who was an unexpected gift to his parents and was very, very strong. Surely, our Samson will be a strong boy too one day! Samson (also known as Samsonite, Sammy and Sam-Sam) has settled in well. He sleeps well at night but is using our house as a bathroom - ewww!
