Spiders win the title!

Bert makes the trip to Chattanooga to watch the Richmond Spiders win the FCS championship against the Monatanna Grizzlies. He had to work Friday morning so he flew in to Atlanta, rented a car and drove 2 hours to the game. He arrived just after kickoff and joined Jeb and Kelly in the stands. Bert was very excited to storm the field as Richmond wins its first national title!

James is a spelling maniac!

James won the second grade spelling bee and was one of only 10 students in the whole school to participate in the RES Spelling Bee. While he was nervous, he approached the microphone with great poise and confidently spelled his words. He made it through 8 rounds or so - besting several students older than him! He was finally tripped up by the word "elephant." While he got the "ph" correct, he also added an "f"...just for good measure! We are very proud of this super speller. And he received a $10 gift card from the school to Barnes & Noble. Way to go, James!!!

Beth, Edwina and Mary Lou "do" NYC!!!

Beth, Mom and Lou visited New York City in early December. They enjoyed the beautiful lights of the city and at Rockefeller Center, shopped in Soho, and had great dinners at Pylos (our favorite Greek restaurant) and Rosa Mexicano (our favorite Mexican restaurant)!! We also won the lottery for very cheap, front row tickets for "Avenue Q" on Broadway. Very funny, campy show! Thanks to Christopher and Derek for letting us stay at their place.

Yes it is true! Adrianna got her learners permit today! She drove a little bit with momma on the way home. Master is worried what it will do to his insurance...
